Is this really happening? Is it really time?
She's excited! Me, not so much. My baby, my ONLY baby, is headed to school in the Fall!

Registration was laid back and quick. I was impressed. So honestly, I never even felt the tears coming on. I was proud of myself..
It wasn't until we left and headed to 7-11 for a drink and a donut. When we were checking out at 7-11, the cashier asked us how our day was going. I told her that we had just come from registering Ashlan for kindergarten. Bless the cashiers heart....She's so friendly and wanted to know all about Ashlan's registration and how she AND I felt about it. Ashlan told her she was excited and I told her it was bittersweet for me. The cashier asked if I had any other children in school or if this was my first... I told her Ashlan was my first and only. Then I started to feel the tears coming on..... At least I held out on the tears till we got to 7-11!

Bittersweet! The only word for a moment like that. I know she will do great and love every minute of it. Plus you will have a little down time to do what YOU want to do....It will be nice.
